Two-step verification gives your account additional protection and prevents it from unauthorized access. It is an optional feature. Along with your login and password, you will need to enter a 6-digit security code to log in.
To activate two-step verification click on your username in the upper-right corner of the Control Panel and choose Profile Settings. On the General tab click on the Enable 2-Step verification button.
- Download and install one of free apps for your smartphone:
- Scan the QR-code
- Enter the generated 6-digit code.
Google Authenticator time synchronization guide
If you get the Invalid code message but you are sure that the code is correct, it might be the app's time synchronization issue.
To resolve the issue:
- Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app on your device
- Click Settings
- Click Time correction for codes
- Click Sync now
On the next screen, the app will confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in. The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.
In case of other questions on the application, refer to the guide.
