This instruction will help you create a new pool in the cluster and configure its parameters.
Click the cluster name.
Open the “Pools” tab, click “Add pool”.
Give the pool a name.
Specify the number of nodes:
- Initial. This number of nodes will be deployed right after the cluster is created.
- Minimum and maximum. Autoscaling will manage the number of nodes within these limits: remove unnecessary nodes when the load decreases and deploy new ones when the load increases.
If you do not need autoscaling, just specify the same numbers in the fields "initial number of nodes", "minimum number of nodes" and "maximum number of nodes".
Cluster nodes are virtual machines. Select a configuration of machines for your pool. The configurations are divided into five groups:
- Standard — machines in which the number of gigabytes of memory is 2-4 times larger than the number of vCPUs.
- vCPU — machines in which the number of vCPUs is equal to the number of gigabytes of memory.
- Memory— machines in which the number of gigabytes of memory is much (up to 8 times) larger than the number of vCPUs.
- High Frequency — machines with the high clock rate of the CPU (3.7 GHz in the basic configuration).
- GX — machines that support Intel SGX technology.
Select size and type of disk for storing the pool data. There are four types:
● High IOPS SSD — network SSD block storage designed for latency-sensitive transactional workloads (60 IOPS per 1 GiB; 2.5 MB/s per 1 GiB). The IOPS performance limit is 9000. The bandwidth limit is 500 MB/s.
● Standard — high-performance network SSD block storage (6 IOPS per 1GiB; 0.4 MB/s per 1 GiB). The IOPS performance limit is 4500. The bandwidth limit is 300 MB/s.
● Cold — network HDD block storage. The maximum number of IOPS is 1000. The bandwidth limit is 100 MB/s.
● Ultra — network HDD block storage, the analog of Cold disk. The maximum number of IOPS is 1000. The bandwidth limit is 100 MB/s.
Click "Save". The pool will be created.
